It has now been several weeks, and this tank has yet to start! At this point, I am starting to get a bit frustrated, especially since the Bio-Spira didn’t seem to do a thing, despite the fact that I put enough in for a tank three times this size.
Additionally, while at PetSmart the other night I grabbed some of their in-use gravel and added it to the filter and substrate in this tank. That too doesn’t seem to have helped any. I’m wondering if there might be something else in the tank prohibiting the bacterial growth.
On a better note, the poor Glowlight Tetras are seemingly doing well, though they would certainly do better in better chemistry. Certainly they perk up after water changes which, at this rate, will have to be daily
