As a side effect of the recent purchase of TechTV by Comcast, Leo Laporte has announced that he has left, effective April 1st (he swears this is not an April Fools joke). This is most disheartening, as he was perhaps my favorite host on their shows. Lord knows he certainly brought a heavy dose of humor to balance out the (ever-lessening) technical content on the channel.
First we lose the live-all-day channel, then Megan gets pregnant and becomes scarce, and now Leo is gone. This is a sad day for geeks worldwide.

I enjoy watching Leo LaPorte on Rogers’ Call For Help. He is very knowledgeable and humerous. I sometimes watch him three times a day, when I can.
I look forward to hearing him explain some of the computer jargon. Hope he is on for years to come.
Fred.
